Train to Read!

Tornado Block Phonics includes 40 joinable, long lasting, solid wooden blocks with over 399 word sound combinations for the purpose of teaching fundamental English phonics. Each set comes with six educational games, 8 reusable Quick Pick cards, and an instruction booklet.  Students who use Tornado Block Phonics are able to progress through English with greater confidence, developing an everlasting foundation to learn from. The first book in our Train Phonics series, introduces Pre-k learners to the alphabet, including letters names and letter sounds. Only the best examples of pictures were selected to ensure the greatest retention, interest and results.

Our first book in the series concentrates on initial core letter sounds, basic handwriting muscle memory skills and short vowels.

Our main areas of focus in Book 1 are short vowels, mixed short vowels, beginning consonants and an introduction to long vowels. We have made large writing areas, keeping students small hands and growing coordination in mind.

Book 2 largely focuses on short vowels, beginning and ending consonants, initial blends as well as long vowels.

Book 3 is a fantastic assembly of many important phonics aspects. We continue to focus and review initial blends, long vowels and soft sounds. This is where the students really shine in their ability to pronounce and read!
